Statutes 2026

Basic information:

• OLR Žilina is a One Loft Race built in a beautiful calm environment of the Žilina Basin and the Lesser Fatra with a view of the town Žilina and the mountains surrounding it.
• The function of the One Loft Race is to compare the quality of the pigeons selected amongst the participants of a listed race; the best participants will win a financial prize according to the propositions.
• The entry fee for 1 pigeon is €200. When 3 pigeons are delivered, 1 pigeon is free, the price for a 4-piece Team is €600.
• The entry fee for the delivered pigeons must be paid by the time of the last training, otherwise they will be offered for activation by a third party or removed from the loft. By not paying the entry fee for the delivered pigeons, the original owner loses the right to a financial award.
• OLR guarantees the prizes if there are more than 1500 pigeons paid. If there is a smaller number of , the prizes will be smaller percentage wise.
• In the 2026 season we have announced new awards, the 1st prize from the Final is €50,000, and the 1st prize Super Team from the Final is €50,000, it will be won by the first three pigeons of the breeder or team of breeders to arrive. In the case of a bad arrival of the pigeons from the Final, and 3-member teams not arriving, the ranking will also be made with the two-member teams after the end of the race. TS guarantees winnings for 1500 paid pigeons.
• The entry registration for young pigeons to our OLR station is possible to be filled in directly on our web page APPLICATION FORM or available to be DOWNLOADED, filled in and sent via email to olr.zilina@gmail.com
• The completed application form has to be handed in by the owner when taking in the pigeons to the OLR station.
• Collection of pigeons in OLR is from 1.3.2026 to 15.5.2026 every day: from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. it is necessary to register in advance !!! It is possible to agree on a different collection time.
• The age of the pigeons has to be in the range of 35-40 days.
• I recommend vaccination 14 days before delivery, with the PHARMAVAC PHA vaccine, re-vaccination will take place with the COLUMBI RP vaccine.
• When handing in young pigeons, it is OBLIGATORY to show a veterinary certificate, stating they have been immunized against paramyxo, with the name of the vaccine and the number of the batch.
• An owner can hand over an unlimited number of pigeons.
• The starting fee can be paid directly when handing over the pigeon to our OLR or after agreement with the organizer.
• By handing the pigeons in and paying the starting fee, the owner agrees with the propositions in full measure.
• In case of the death of the pigeon, the owner has a right to hand in a supplementary pigeon to the OLR till the 01-06-2026 for free.
• In the event that a pigeon is lost or dies before being chipped, the owner has the right to deliver a pigeon to the OLR free of charge for 2027 from the number of paid pigeons, pedigrees will be required within 3 days after completion.
• According to the number of registered pigeons, collection points will be determined in two – three dates, direction east and direction west + the Czech Republic.
• The pigeons have to have a 2026 birth ring.
• When handing the pigeon in, the owner has to show the list and certificate of ownership. Every pigeon for which the basic fee has been paid will be accepted.
• Pedigrees will be needed after the final race for the pigeons that have flown and will be offered in an internet auction. Just send by email.
• The final race will be completed 72 hours after the start.

Final decree:

• By placing the pigeons in to the OLR, the organiser will automatically become the owner of the pigeons.
• The organiser reserves the right to change or cancel the race due to weather conditions, health conditions or technical difficulties.
• Deployment and ranges will be public.
• Anyone can participate in the race selection committee as an observer.
• There will also be a starter in the Final race.
• The flight of the pigeons from the Final race will be broadcast live !
• After the season, the pigeons will be offered at an online auction.
• The owners of the auctioned pigeons will get 50% of the auctioned price.
• Pigeon owners who do not submit their pedigrees within 7 days after the start of the final race lose their right to a 50% share of the auctioned amount.
• The costs of the auction + costs for the photo of the pigeon are borne by the owner of the pigeon 50% and the owner of OLR 50%.
• If a larger number of pigeons arrive from the Final and there is interest from breeders, a Super Final will be held from a distance of 520 km, in addition to the first 30 pigeons from the Final and the first 10 ESO pigeons.

Training and races

• The pigeons will undergo a total of 7 training sessions in the range of 15-100km.
• The race plan for 2026 consists of 4 races in the range of 120-350km.
• The final race in Chomutov – 420 km – is scheduled for September 11. – it will not be shortened, but the organizer has the right to change the date due to adverse weather.
• The results of the races will be published on the web pages.
• The deployment and flight range will be public, the option to act as a guide will be also available.

Other additional measures

• In case of exceptional veterinary measures, the organiser has the right to resign from the competition rules, if state bodies will issue contamination measures (i.e. bird flu, etc.) If such a situation occurs, the pigeons will be given back to their owners or after agreement, there will be a large auction where the owner will gain 50% of the auctioned price.
